Hello Hi League Families! Next Monday, Sept. 23rd, the kids don't have school, so we are offering an alternative for them! Throughout the year on no school days we'll have some outing planned for 6th-12th grade youth. These days will consist of some sort of service work/volunteer in the morning and then a fun outing in the afternoon. I need drivers to make these events possible, so please consider! Our first outing will be to Arc's Value Village where we will help sort and organize donations. Then after lunch we'll go hang out at Como Zoo & Conservatory. Kids MUST sign up by Sept. 18th. You can find a sign up link on our app under the Youth>Confirmation & Hi League Tab, or by clicking this link. We are planning a trip to Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids, MN on Nov. 2nd. This is a great place for people of all ages to volunteer! Grab a friend, invite a neighbor, and sign up today! We hope to send a group of 25. You must be able to stand for 2 hours. Minimum age is 5; an adult must accompany kids in grades K-2. We will caravan from church at 9:30 and arrive home about 2:45. Ongoing Reminders: October 27th is Confirmation Sunday! Our 9th grade confirmands will be confirmed in their faith during worship. Fall Youth Retreat October 9-11 | Luther Point Bible Camp Every fall our Confirmation and Hi League kids venture up to Luther Point Bible Camp near Grantsburg, WI for a retreat. There is no school Thursday or Friday, so we'll leave after class on Wednesday night (about 7:00/30) and come back home Friday afternoon (about 2:00/30). Kids often say this is their favorite event of the year, so we highly encourage it!
